offshore money, onshore release: a glasgow tale

Back from six weeks North Sea. Brutal rotation this time. Rigs never change but the men do. New faces. Same old stories bout how hard we work how much we miss home. Truth is home for most of us is just a concept. Mine's a few hours in Glasgow between hitches.

Got paid decent this time. One of those jobs where you're basically living in metal box surrounded by ocean. No spend. No chance. So when I touch down in Glasgow first thing I do is make a call. Got my regular who knows exactly what I need. No drama no fuss.

Petra's been my go-to for almost two years now. Ukrainian lass. Smart. Knows how to make a man feel human again after weeks of nothing but work boots and roughneck chat. Her flat in west end always smells nice. Clean. Professional.

Couple hundred quid sorted me right out. Some guys waste money in bars. Me I prefer something more direct. More honest. Transactional sure but both of us know the score. She provides relief. I provide cash. Simple.

Offshore life ain't for everyone. Takes a certain type. Takes knowing how to spend your downtime proper when you get back onshore. This is how I do it.
